At an age when most of us are retired and thumbing through Sudoku books, Caitlin Myer's parents were selling enemas, serving as kindly small town OBGYNs, and promising to increase your internet speed. And that was before they were on the Daily Show, making John Stewart uncomfortable. Caitlin Myer is a published author who was raised Mormon; her story for Learning Curve is funny, sad, and touching. She is the founder of the literary reading series Portuguese Artists Colony, where authors compete in Live Writing---composing works while musicians provide the soundtrack. She is not Portuguese, despite her best efforts.
